Like a hungry beast, Fat Maw Rooney devoured audiences from 2003 – 2009 with their voracious live shows and powerful albums. After a few years off to pursue other projects and rest their weary bones, they’re back. Fat Maw’s shows are marked by intense energy, tight harmonies, and spontaneous creativity, which never fails to excite. While live energy is their trademark, songwriting is what keeps Fat Maw Rooney fans coming back for more. Effectively combining elements of blues, rock, and funk, the band continues to forge their own ‘northern rock’ sound. Old fans have come to expect Fat Maw to surprise them every time, and new listeners are left wishing they knew the words so they could sing along with the rest.
They have shared billing with Trey Anastasio, Widespread Panic, String Cheese Incident, the Black Crows, Bob Weir and Ratdog, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Los Lobos and many others.
