Thanks everyone for an incredible weekend.  Operation Adaptation 2009 is officially in the books.  Despite the rain, the energy in the Concord House this weekend was beyond description.  We, the musicians, would like to thank all of you who attended one last time.  I know it’s been said already but without all of you supporting local music, these kinds of things wouldn’t work.  Hope your trips home were safe.  Now it’s time for a shower and some sleep.  Seriously… take a hint… you need a nap and a shower.

Much love until next time…

RN

The time has come.

If you don’t have your tickets yet, you can get them at the gate for $50.  It is going to be a great weekend of music and the weather looks like it’s gonna be just fine as well (knock on wood).  Hope to see you all there this Friday and Saturday night.  Make sure and check the Operation Adaptation website for the schedule and all the other information you could possibly need.

Yours,

RN

If you dont come, Captain Planet will most likely get pissed.

If you don't come, Captain Planet will most likely get pissed.

Hey all!

Just wanted to jump on quick and post this.  Matt Butler (of Everyone Orchestra and now Hot Buttered Rum fame) gave us a little nod in his recent interview with Glide Magazine.  Just wanted to say thanks to Matt for the kind words and give you all the opportunity to read them.

Also, we’ve got the weekend off so Happy Easter (if that’s your bag) and Happy Springster if it isn’t.  I’ll be slipping into a Cadbury Cream Coma (or a 3Cs coma for those of you in the ‘know’) sometime around 4pm on Sunday so say a little prayer for me.

We’ll be back next weekend with shows in Fargo and Duluth.  Grip it and rip it.

Much love to you and yours,

RN

All is right with the world… when you awake and it is still and silent.

This Thursday we’ll be heading to Iowa City, IA for the second time.  If it’s anything like the first time, it will be quite wonderful.  On Friday night, you will most likely be able to find us in Minneapolis at the Cabooze.  Here are the details.  Please, by all means, tell your friends…

Thursday / 4.2.2009 / Iowa City, IA @ the Industry (9pm)

Friday / 4.3.2009 / Minneapolis, MN @ the Cabooze (9pm)
w/ Public Property. This is an 18+ show.

Much love,

RN

Hi all!  We’ll be in LaCrosse tomorrow night and Milwaukee on Saturday.  We’d love to see all of your wonderful faces and please spread the word to anyone you know in those cities that might be interested.  Here are the details…

Friday :: 3/27/09 - LaCrosse, WI @ the Joint

Saturday :: 3/28/09 - Milwaukee, WI @ the Miramar

w/ Sean Shiel and Toad King (all ages!)

ALSO :: If you or anyone you know lives in or within reasonable driving distance of Fargo, ND, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider going there and helping with the flood relief effort in any way that you can.  From the sounds of it, they need all the help they can get (especially filling sand bags).  Click here for an article with volunteer information.  Thanks so much.

Much love to Fargo.  You guys are in our prayers.

Just a quick note to let you all know that we updated our ridiculously heinous looking Myspace page.  Now it’s just mildly heinous.  Just kidding.  It’s all pretty and clean.  Stop by and check it out.  If you’re not a friend of ours currently, please lock that in.

Hope you’re enjoying spring in all of it’s glory and wonderment.

Much love,

RN

In honor of the changing of the seasons, we’ve booked a couple of local shows that are coming up quite soon.

3/20/2009 :: Rubicon, WI @ Hauser’s Hideaway (click for more details)

and

3/21/2009 :: Okauchee, WI @ Rookies (click for more details)

Both should be a lot of fun so why not make a weekend out of it?

Hope you’re enjoying yourselves. We’ll be working hard on some new material for the next couple of weeks.
Much love,
RN

Hey all.

You have probably noticed the site has changed a bit. We’ve got a lot of changes going on in our camp as of late and thought a little internet haircut would do some good as well. The FMR.com forums have officially been retired. If you’d like to post a message to the band you can simply do so at the myspace or facebook pages. We check them often so please don’t feel like you no longer have a voice. We’ll also be adding some things in the near future to the site so keep an eye out for some of that.

We would also like to announce that we’ve been asked by the Everyone Orchestra to join a small midwest tour they’re embarking on in May and have graciously accepted. We are tremendously excited to be running the river with some incredible musicians and hope you’ll share the experience with us. Looks like some beautiful venues as well. You can either click the ad to the right or go to the schedule to learn more about that.

As for the album, we’re writing at a feverish pace and you may have noticed a few new songs gently slip their way into a pretty consistent rotation on the setlists. ‘Love and Whiskey’ and ‘Oh Elijah!’ are a couple of the new ones that we’re quite excited about. Don’t be surprised if you hear a bunch of new songs in the coming months as we’re definitely going to be giving all of the new stuff a pretty thorough road test before heading into the studio.

Festival season is just around the corner and we’re excited to have been asked to join the roster of some pretty sweet ones already. Operation Adaptation is coming up as well and if you don’t know, now you know. Spread the word.

Finally, just a quick note. We bit the bullet and got some press pictures taken the other weekend when we were in Minneapolis. The above photo, and many more, were taken by the very talented Emma Freeman. Check her work out at www.emmafreemanphotography.com

That’s all for now. Look for more from me on a pretty regular basis.

It’s got to get warmer. It’s got to.

Much love,
RN
